Configure your backup policy

When it comes to working with data you can never be too safe. That is why making backups of your data is an important part of ensuring you never lose a bit. Here are the steps needed to setup your backup policy and the location of your backup. Access the Backup Policy menu from User menu > Settings > Backup Policy.

Please note that the repository of the backup is limited to each Conduit deployment.

The Backup Policy menu contains two sections:

  1. Backup Policy - provides controls for configuring your recurrent backup process.

  2. Backup Location - provides options to select and configure where your backup is saved.

A message will be displayed to let you know the outcome of the process.

NOTE: Messages providing information about the status of the last backup as well as the time remaining until the next backup will take place are available when going to the menu. They can be removed by pressing the "X" sign.

IMPORTANT: Please consider the message about the timezone configuration of your Backup Policy Server.

If you want to configure an automatic recurrence of your backup process use the options provided in the Backup Policy section.

Example: Monthly recurrence happening on the last Friday on the month at 11PM.

A the moment the Backup Location section offers the choice between Azure, AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage and local.

Selecting Azure as your backup location will require some extra information to be provided, in order to specify where exactly the backup will be saved. Make sure you have these data handy. Below there's an example.
